Brendan is an experienced tax specialist. He was a NI prize-winner at A-Level and a Graduate of Queen’s University Belfast with a First Class Honours Degree in Accounting. He trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a Big 6 firm in Belfast before pursuing a secondment to their Corporate Tax Department in London.

Brendan’s career has benefited from a mix of commercial and general practice experience having held some senior tax positions in Industry. Whilst working with Shell in London he was promoted to the role of UK Holding Companies Tax Adviser and later with General Electric in Dublin was the Assistant Tax Controller for Europe with GE Consumer Finance – GE’s third largest business at the time.

Since returning to Belfast in 2004, Brendan has focused his tax expertise on general practice which saw him set up his own firm, BD Morris & Co before merging as BDM.

Brendan is an active member of the NI Branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and currently holds the office of Chairman.
